Sundal podi

This sundal podi can be used for any variety of sundal that you make

Ingredients

  • chana dal – 1tbsp
  • coriander seeds – 1tsp
  • black pepper corn – 1 tsp
  • Jeera – 1 tsp
  • red chilli – 2
  • Asafoetida – a pinch

Method

  1. heat a kadai
  2. dry roast all the ingredients except asafoetida and jeera
  3. roast until chana dal turns golden in color
  4. add jeera and asafoetida just before you turn off
  5. let it cool down
  6. blend it to make a powder
