Ground nut Chutney

Recipe from my mom


  • ground nuts
  • jeera – 1 teaspoon
  • tamarind – small ball
  • garlic – 2-3 cloves
  • salt – as needed
  • dry red chilies – 2-3 (as per taste level)
  • water


  1. Soak the tamarind in a small bowl for 15-20 mins
  2. Dry roast the groundnuts in a non-stick pan
  3. Now add all the ingredients and grind to make a smooth paste
  4. You may add poppu/tadka if you want
